Q. How do you bill? A. We bill in US dollars. Payment from you is required prior to us shipping your order.
Q. What exchange rate do you use? A. Our site provides a complimentary currency conversion as an indicative guide only. When you purchase from us, the actual conversion rate will be set by your credit card company, or by PayPal if you pay via PayPal.

Q. What taxes do you charge? A. We charge the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST)for items shipped within Australia. We do not charge any other taxes.
Q. Do your prices include GST or other taxes? A. The prices shown on our site DO NOT include GST, which is the only tax we charge. GST is added to the price during the checkout process, for shipments within Australia only.
Q. Can I buy items from your website without paying over the internet? Yes. Although we prefer the automated and secure process available via our website, we can take Mastercard and Visa orders via phone and fax. We can only charge in Australian Dollars this way, so please phone or email us for a quotation.

Q. How do you ship A. We ship via Australia Post.
Q. What are your shipping rates? A. Our shipping charges are based on weight. Shipping costs will be shown during the checkout process and will be included in the final charge.
Q. What shipping options do I have? A. We ship via Australia Post. Within Australia, you can opt for Standard mail, Express Post or Registered Mail. Customers outside Australia can opt for Standard Air Mail, or Express Courier International. For Items over 5 kilograms, overseas customers in areas serviced by sea mail with Australia Post can opt for sea mail. These options are available for you to choose during the checkout process..
Q. What security can I rely on, using your website? Your personal details such as name and address are held in a secure database. AA Mineral Specimens does not hold any information about your credit cards or banking details.
Q. When I pay by Credit card on your website, what information do you keep? A. We use Paymate and PayPal as third party payment processors, so we do not keep your credit card details at all. Your payments are processed securely by Paymate and PayPal and we never see the details of your credit card.
Q. How can I view the status of my order? A. You can log in at any time to see if we have processed and shipped your order. We also send you an email to let you know when we have shipped.
If you choose Express Post in Australia, or International Express Courier, we will include Australia Post’s tracking number so you can track the item through Australia Post.
Q. Do you have a shop front or physical store? A. No. We operate on the web, and we also have stalls at various mineral shows and other markets within Australia (mostly within New South Wales). We publish our itinerary in our newsletter and on our News page, so you can see where we will be next. We are happy to take phone calls and emails in lieu of a shopfront.
Q. I’ve forgotten my login and/or password, what can I do? A. Just click on the ‘forgotten password link. You will be prompted for your user name, and then you password will be sent to you automatically.
Q. How does ‘wishlist’ work? A. If you add something to your wishlist, you can log out and come back at a later time, and the items will still be in your wishlist for you to view. To enable this, our website sends cookies to your computer. If you clear your cookies, or if your antivirus software clears them, the items will no longer be in your wishlist. Holding an item in your wishlist will not prevent somebody else from purchasing it.
